Drexl Professional Pipe Cleaning Machines in Detail
The Mini Power 75 is our compact entry-level machine: With a 390-watt motor, approximately 400 revolutions per minute, and a weight of about 13 kg, it is easy to handle, portable, and ideal for plumbing and house connection applications. The Maxi Power 150 expands the range of applications to pipes from approximately 20 to 150 mm and can be equipped with 8-, 16-, and 22-mm coils. This allows it to cover nearly all standard plumbing and sewer lines. For more intensive professional use, our rak models are available: The rak 40 has established itself as a universal workhorse, while the rak 41, with its patented clamping jaw system, 1.36 HP power, and spirals up to 32 mm in diameter, is a top-of-the-line professional tool for pipes ranging from 30 to 250 mm. At the very top of the Drexl family is the PowerFräse 600, a rod-type machine with 8-mm rods for particularly demanding special applications where classic spiral machines reach their limits.
ROWO pipe cleaning machines as an alternative
As a second product line, we carry the ROWO machines: The R550 with 440 watts and 583 rpm, the R600 with a powerful 620-watt induction motor, and the R650 as the top model with a 1,350-watt induction motor and 623 rpm. This means you’ll find the right solution in the Drexl Shop even if you prefer to use a different brand for operational reasons.
Coils, tools, and accessories – the complete system
A machine is only as good as its coils. We offer pipe cleaning coils in 8, 10, 16, 22, and 32 mm with matching auger tools for every task, from straight and club drills to cross-blade and fork-head augers, all the way to root cutters. We also carry the auger protection hose and the IP44 personal protection adapter in our range, so you can work safely and cleanly. For occasional use without a machine, we offer robust hand-held drain snakes as well as the Handmatic hand-held pipe cleaner.
Typical applications
A pipe cleaning machine is used wherever conventional methods such as plungers or chemical cleaners reach their limits. Typical applications include stubborn blockages in house connections, downspouts, and floor drains; grease and limescale deposits in commercial kitchens; root ingrowth in underground pipes; and deposits in industrial pipes. Our typical users include plumbers and plumbing shops, sanitation companies, commercial kitchens, janitorial services, municipal utilities, civil engineering and renovation companies, as well as specialized pipe and sewer cleaning firms. With the right machine, you can handle these tasks efficiently, without time-consuming disassembly and without causing lasting chemical damage to the pipes.
Repairable and durable – Made in Germany since 1986
Unlike many inexpensive imported devices, our Drexl machines are designed to be repaired rather than discarded. Wear parts such as clamping jaws, bearings, and drive components can be replaced, and we perform service work directly as the manufacturer in Bad Abbach. This saves you money in the long run, conserves resources, and prevents unnecessary electronic waste. This durability is no coincidence, but the result of professional manufacturing and meticulous quality control. Our machines are TÜV-certified, and we offer a three-year warranty on all our own equipment. Should any issues arise, your machine is in good hands with us as the manufacturer.

As professional equipment, pipe cleaning machines are typically classified as fixed assets and depreciated over their normal useful life. Please consult your tax advisor regarding the specific classification.
Frequently Asked Questions About Pipe Cleaning Machines
Which machine is suitable for which pipe diameter?
For small plumbing lines and house connections, the Mini Power 75 is the right choice. For all-around professional use from approximately 20 to 150 mm, the Maxi Power 150 is suitable; for more demanding professional tasks up to 250 mm, the rak 41 with spirals up to 32 mm is recommended. For special applications or particularly stubborn deposits, the PowerFräse 600 with rod technology is used.
What is the difference between Mini Power, Maxi Power, and rak?
The Mini Power 75 is the handy entry-level machine for small pipes. The Maxi Power 150 expands the range modularly with 8-, 16-, and 22-mm coils. The rak models are the professional-grade machines for continuous operation, featuring a patented clamping jaw system (rak 41), higher motor power, and designed for daily commercial use.
Coil or high-pressure – which method is the right one?
Coil machines are the first choice for hard blockages, root ingrowth, and solid deposits that must be broken up mechanically. High-pressure flushing machines excel at removing grease, sludge, sand, and thoroughly flushing longer sections. That’s why both methods have a permanent place in many professional workshops. We’d be happy to advise you on your selection.
What coil diameter do I need?
Rule of thumb: 8 mm for small plumbing lines, 10 to 16 mm for house connections and downspouts, 22 mm for larger drains, and 32 mm for demanding professional applications up to approx. 250 mm pipe diameter. The Maxi Power 150 uses 8/16/22 mm coils in a modular system, while the rak 41 supports coils up to 32 mm.
Are Drexl machines suitable for continuous commercial use?
Yes, all our in-house machines are TÜV-certified, come with a three-year warranty, and are designed for continuous professional use. As the manufacturer in Bad Abbach, we handle repairs and maintenance directly, ensuring your machine remains operational for many years.
Can I claim a pipe cleaning machine as a business asset for tax purposes?
In commercial use, pipe cleaning machines are typically depreciable as movable assets under fixed assets. The specific depreciation classification, useful life, and treatment in individual cases depend on your company’s situation. Please consult your tax advisor. If needed, we also offer leasing to commercial customers upon request as an alternative to direct purchase.
