What you need a test plug for

The test plug is the quick, inexpensive solution for sealing off a small line. Typical uses are shutting off before repair and plumbing work as well as pressure-testing small connection lines. By tightening it inside the pipe, the plug sits securely and withstands the applied pressure. For larger diameters or for pneumatic shut-offs, you will find the right products among our shut-off bladders and shut-off discs.

Sizes from 12 to 32 mm

Our test plugs cover the common small pipe diameters with 12, 19, 25 and 32 mm. What matters is the inner diameter of the line you want to close. If you are unsure which size fits, we are happy to advise you free of charge via our hotline.

Frequently asked questions about test plugs

What is a test plug?

A test plug, also called a pipe plug, is a mechanical plug for small pipes. It is inserted into the line and tightened to seal it, for example to shut off or pressure-test before maintenance and testing work.

Which sizes are available?

We stock test plugs in 12, 19, 25 and 32 mm, suitable for the common plumbing and domestic installation lines.

What is a test plug used for?

Test plugs are used to safely close small lines, for example before repair and plumbing work or for pressure-testing small connection lines.

How does a test plug differ from a shut-off bladder?

The test plug seals mechanically and is tightened inside the pipe, while the shut-off bladder seals pneumatically by being inflated. For small diameters, the plug is the simple and inexpensive choice.
